Nathaniel Waring open water swimmer and global entrepreneur based on the ‘magical’ island of Florianopolis, Brazil. Nathaniel sold his global luxury travel company and moved to Brazil in 2017 where he lives on the beach and runs the Waterman Center which caters to athletes and digital nomads who want to learn to enjoy the open ocean and its challenges. Nathaniel holds the record for the 18km Tahiti to Moorea crossing and has swim the Straits of Gibraltar, from Sardinia to Corsica and many other swims.

He spends every September on Montenegro’s Lustica Peninsula and has swum in and out of almost every cove on this wild and beautiful part of Montenegro which connects the Bay of Kotor with the Adriatic Sea.

Nathaniel grew up in New England where he learned to swim in the cold north Atlantic. After college in California Nathaniel co founded a luxury travel company and traveled to over 100 countries.  After he sold his company in 2009 Nathaniel lived in Tahiti and then moved to Brazil.
