Set along one of the most beautiful and diverse stretches of the Mediterranean, the Costa Brava racecourse combines dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and crystal-clear waters. From sheltered bays offering calmer swims to more exposed coastal sections that can provide a rewarding challenge, this course has something for everyone.
Expect stunning sunrises, a relaxed seaside atmosphere, and excellent local cuisine — making it a memorable setting both in and out of the water.
The water temperature is expected to be between 20-22°C

OUR HOST VENUE
Based in the upmarket resort of S’Agaró, with its beautiful sandy beach bay - you’ll do a full lap of it on day 1 with a hotel-hotel course.
Our first shorter format 2 day, but no less epic, adventure swim race! Appealing to those short on time, or watching closely their end of year budget, or those just wanting to reconnect with the UltraSwim community if they missed out on an event during the year. A great chance to finish European summer with a decent challenge - its still half an English Channel distance, with a 10km+ marathon on day 2. With Barcelona being super connected, this makes it our most accessible and economical event of the series so far.
A 7km swim on the Saturday and a marathon 10km+ on Sunday will mean we’ll hit the ‘Half Channel’ distance of 16.65km - and the course will take us around the wilder part of the beautiful Costa Brava coastline to the south west of S’Agaró.
WHERE WILL WE SWIM?
The Saturday swim is planned as a full single loop of the S’Agaró bay, with lots of small passages through the rocks at the entrance to the bay. A great stepping stone to a full 10km marathon swim from 10km down the coast back to the beach right in front of the hotel on the Sunday.
SWIMMING CONDITIONS?
The water temperature in mid-October is expected to still be north of 20C(68F), and whilst the end of summer can bring mixed weather, daytime temperatures remain very favourable. For those from further north, this could be the perfect way to round off the European summer.
How to book
STEP 1

There is a 500€ advanced payment to secure your place, full refund within 30 days if you change your mind.
STEP 3
We’ll then discuss with you personally the options you might need like extra hotel nights, or upgrades.
The full amount due is payable up to 6 months prior to the event (or within 14 days if within 6 months) and in the case of changing circumstances we have a flexible rollover policy should you be unable to participate.

TRAVEL AND LOGISTICS
S’Agaro itself is under an hour from Barcelona city and a few kms further to Barcelona airport. Girona airport is less than 30 minutes to the north west.
Recommended arrival in S’Agaro on Friday 16 October, 2026 by 1800 - but later arrivals are acceptable. The idea is to enable you to leave late from another European capital on the Friday if you need to. Briefing at 2000, online attendance possible. Registration Friday 1600-2000, and 0600-0700 Saturday morning.
Plan arrival latest by 1700 at Barcelona (BCA) or 1800 at Girona (GRO) for transfers to the UltraSwim 33.3 event base in S’Agaro. First transfer departures on the Sunday at 1400 from S’Agaro, arriving Barcelona Airport 1530 and Girona Airport 1430.
