Join the Team

The UltraSwim 33.3 team consists of a variety of skilled professionals from all over the world. Our mantra is work hard, play hard and above all roll your sleeves up and be ready for anything.
Our team has experience in global sporting events from cycling to sailing, running to motorsport so there will be plenty to learn along the way!
What we stand for…
Our swimmers are number one. We need attention to detail in every aspect of the event both on and off the water, we want to work with people who are proactive and have initiative because this is a varied event with plenty going on.

On land start/finish. Helping distribute trackers, or setting up finish line, serving recovery snacks, helping manage lunch setup/marshalling.
Transfer boats. Out to the start lines early - Can be as early as 05:00 starts, then acting as safety/sweeper boats or bag transfers, as well as feed-stations on the longer swims. You’ll be on the racecourse all morning - pack lunches are provided and once back, help support the emptying of the transfer boats, tidy up and preparations for the following day.
Kayak support. Join the frontline safety team in a kayak - you must be experienced kayaker, and ideally at least some basic first aid knowledge and/or experience of supporting open water swimmers.
Boat skippers - on one of our more specialist boats - medical, race director, media.

Commitment to volunteer your complete support for the 4 full days of the event including arrival on the registration day, where you might be asked to help.
Join us on an all staff Zoom briefing 1 week before the event.
Get yourself to the nearest airport we will recommend depending on your event, and we’ll look after you from there, covering food and lodging (twin share - you can ask for single occupancy but we’d ask for you to pay the extra cost), all except dinners which we’ve found people prefer anyway to head off with new friends made during the event!
You will need stamina, events can be exhausting! Our team is people-oriented, ideally you will be compassionate, understanding and have a keen eye for detail.

As an intern at UltraSwim 33.3, you’ll get hands-on experience across the world of international sports events, from event planning and operations to marketing, social media, swimmer experience and partnerships.
