NEWS | Partnering with Dalmatian Islands Environment Foundation for #12Croatia
Proud to choose local partners who align with our sustainability engagement
“The Adriatic Sea is central to life along Croatia’s coast, sustaining both nature and the island communities that depend on it. The pristine waters surrounding Hvar remind us of the beauty and fragility of our marine ecosystems. At DIEF, we believe that meaningful experiences in nature should also contribute to its protection. Through our partnership with UltraSwim 33.3, we’re supporting local conservation efforts and deepening the connection between people, place, and positive impact.”

We're proud to partner with the local team at the Dalmatian Islands Environment Foundation for #12Croatia.
Since 2023, they've raised 245,000 EUR and supported 18 projects across the Dalmatian islands, championing grassroots NGOs to make a real difference within their communities. Partnering with DIEF seems like an obvious choice that aligns with our sustainability engagement. At UltraSwim 33.3, we are committed to lowering our environmental impact, we have a strict no single use plastic policy and we encourage inclusivity and try to educate our swimmers on ways they can reduce their environmental impact.
There are many cross overs between UltraSwim 33.3 and the Dalmatian Island Environment Foundation, their work on Hvar Island particularly resonates with us as this is home to our events in Croatia. They are currently managing a project installing fresh water fountains in Stari Grad, any of you that have swum with us in Croatia will know Stari Grad well!
Valamar Hotel are also partners with the Dalmatian Islands Environment Foundation, showing the commitment to preserving the natural beauty of the Dalmatian Islands across the island. We are trying to be consistent with our engagement across international NGOs, see more about our NGO partners here, so our venues are carefully selected to align with this.

The Dalmatian Island Environment Foundation work to protect the coastline through supporting projects that have positive economic and social impacts on the local communities. They also raise funds from people and businesses that have a connection to Dalmatia, these funds are used to support local initiatives that help protect the diverse natural assets of the region.
Help us help them to preserve the pristine Adriatic Sea and its fragile ecosystems for generations to come by donating to their causes.
“We are excited to partner with the Dalmatian Islands Environment Foundation as we head into our third Croatia event on beautiful Hvar Island in Dalmatia. The Foundation’s work is a truly positive driver for protecting the islands’ fragile ecosystems and supporting the local communities that depend on these unique marine and island environments in which they live, work, and in which we swim.”
We are trying to partner with local charities that correspond to each of our events, aligning with our mission at UltraSwim 33.3. If you have any ideas then please email us on purpose@ultraswim333.com
