A mix of pool coaching sessions, open water practice on segments of the course, seminars, and individual consultations
Practice and refine your open water skills (drafting, navigation etc.)
Develop your overall strategy for the event
Plan your daily swim tactics
Includes one optional pre-event Swim Mentoring session with your coach (via Zoom)

The preparation camp is lead by Ultra swimmer Marieke Blomme, who set the overall record along the Belgian coast line (67km) and swam Lake Geneva (70km) . Co Founder of the Belgian Coast Swim (16km), and OSC (the only open water sea swim club in Belgium)
Co-organiser - Stephanie Smet
Sailor, skipper, cold water swimmer, official - Stephanie has experience in all aspects of open water swimming and will show you how you can tackle this course like a pro.
Stephanie is also co founder of the Belgian Coast Swim (16km), and OSC (the only open water sea swim club in Belgium) and made the track for the record swim along the Belgian coast!
#10MONTENEGRO
Two day dedicated preparation camp immediately before #10 led by Simon Griffiths, founder of Outdoor Swimmer magazine and supported by world class experts from coaching, nutrition, physio.

Simon’s mission is to help people make the most of the water. He's the founder and publisher of Outdoor Swimmer magazine and the author of Swim Wild & Free: A Practical Guide to Swimming Outdoors 365 Days a Year. In 2025 he launched Renaissance Swimmer, a new project to inspire people to embrace the full range of swimming activities, from winter dipping and wild swimming to pool racing and marathon swimming. In addition, he offers one-to-one swimming development support through Swim Mentoring.
Simon was part of the team that created the STA's International Open Water Coach course. He swims year-round in the Thames, trains with his local masters club, races in the pool and open water, and does the occasional swimrun too.
